Magna Learning Partnership Celebrates

Pembroke Park Primary School's Remarkable Turnaround

Magna Learning Partnership proudly announces the extraordinary achievement of Pembroke Park Primary School, which, following an Ofsted inspection in December 2023, has swiftly emerged from special measures with a very strong 'good' grading.

Under the dynamic leadership of Headteacher Toni Hayzen, Pembroke Park achieved this remarkable feat in just 16 months, a testament to the unwavering commitment of school leaders, staff and Magna Learning Partnership. The school, now described by inspectors as "a family where everyone is welcomed," joined the partnership in 2020 with a history of underachievement. It was noted that pupils are “well-behaved, polite and considerate” and learn in an environment which has “high aspirations” for all.

Inspectors noted that the rapid improvement was propelled by the effective leadership of Toni Hayzen and her team, the Director of Education for MLP, Alun Richards, Chair of the Local Governing Committee, Vannessa Shield and a dedicated team of Trustees. The school's commitment to the motto 'every child, every chance, every day' is evident, with pupils and staff embodying the school values in all aspects of their work.

Ian Tucker, CEO of Magna Learning Partnership, expressed immense pride, stating, "I would like to thank everyone involved for their inspirational leadership and tireless efforts in leading the staff and community to this outcome. Magna Learning Partnership is delighted to have played such a strong part in the journey that Pembroke Park has been on over the years and we look forward to the next exciting chapter."

As Pembroke Park looks forward to a bright future, Magna Learning Partnership remains committed to providing direct support to ensure continued success for the school and its community.
